Achievements

Accomplishments in the 2005-06 School Year:

• May 24, 2005: Cross Creek Board of Directors appointed Randy Nelson as the President/CEO after announcing closure of the school.
• June-July, 2005:  Offered a two day per week summer program keeping Cross Creek open for business.
• June-August 2005: Nelson appoints a new Board of Directors
• August 2005:  CROSS CREEK BECOMES DEBT FREE!  Debts totaling $158,581 in start-up and operation loans were forgiven.  To God be the GLORY!
• August 2005:  Karen Darragh provides building rent free for the school through June 15, 2006.  TO GOD be the GLORY!
• September 2005:  Cross Creek launches new University Model Program for Middle and High School. 
• September 2005:  Cross Creek’s enrollment climbs 135%.  From 37 students at the end of the 2004-05 school year to 87 at the beginning of the ‘05-’06 school year.
• October 2005:  Developed and implemented a Safety Management Plan.
• December 2005:  Enrollment breaks over 100 students.  December enrollment stands at 108. 
• December 2005:  Cross Creek Theater had 7 successful performances of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” for students at Sweetwater Elementary, Brown Intermediate, and Sweetwater Junior High. 
• December 2005: Cross Creek participated in Operation Christmas Child a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse.  Cross Creek students created 89 shoebox packages for needy children around the world.
• August 2006:  Cross Creek Launches University Model classes for all Elementary
• October 2006:  Cross Creek Partners with Sweetwater Kiwanis Club, Sweetwater City Schools, and the Second Harvest Food Bank to feed hungry children through the “Back Packs for Kids” program.  Cross Creek students provides ongoing volunteer service to this program.
• August 2006:  Karen Darragh once again provides building rent free for the school through June 15, 2007.  TO GOD be the GLORY!
• October 2006:  Cross Creek launches a new 4-H Club.
